IN2 Consult is partnering with an exciting, global client on the recruitment of a Senior Project Accountant to join them on an interim basis, focused on designing and implementing new financial processes within a complex, evolving environment.
This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Technology, with a core focus on building robust, scalable processes to support accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. Initially, this will involve developing structured, Excel-based solutions using new data inputs, with a longer-term view toward automation.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless transition to improved ways of working.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a new revenue recognition process aligned to existing accounting policies
- Build a structured, repeatable solution (initially Excel-based) using multiple data sources
- Embed controls to identify errors and ensure data accuracy
- Continuously refine outputs and resolve issues throughout implementation
- Transition the process into BAU with clear documentation and post‑implementation support
- Collaborate with finance, technology, and external stakeholders to define and deliver requirements
- Translate business needs into practical, scalable process solutions
- Ensure stakeholders remain aligned and accountable throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of project‑related costs and cash flows
- Partner with finance teams to communicate accounting implications and updates
- Maintain oversight of financial impact throughout the project
- Establish strong data governance and process control frameworks
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting standards
- Support audit requirements related to new processes
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks relating to data integrity and reporting accuracy
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and structure complex datasets
- Experience working across finance and technology‑driven projects
- Familiarity with ERP systems & Analytics tools
- Proven ability to build and improve processes in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
