Head of Group Finance- £650-£750 Per Day- Interim 12 Month Contract- ACCA/CIMA/ACA- Remote
IN2 Consult is partnering with a high growth client on the recruitment of an interim Head of Group Finance to join the evolving finance function on a 12 month contract basis.
The role will oversee the group's finance operations teams including management accounting, P2P, O2C and Billing with a key focus on the continuous development of the large 10 person team, driving processes improvements, continual integration of systems and oversight of group monthly reporting.
Key responsibilities for this Head of Group Finance Role Include:
- Lead the Group’s monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Drive ongoing improvements to the close and reporting cycle, introducing best practices and streamlined processes to strengthen output and reduce timelines.
- Partner with Group Finance, FP&A, and wider stakeholders to deliver accurate consolidated reporting and business insights.
- Take the lead in reshaping finance operations, identifying areas where structures, processes, or systems can be enhanced to deliver greater efficiency and resilience.
- Oversee and strengthen the Group’s financial control framework, ensuring that risk is well-managed and balance sheet reconciliations are consistently reviewed.
- Act as a key liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and compliance stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery of annual compliance obligations.
- Own and improve the use of the ERP system, developing a roadmap for enhancements that will maximise efficiency and control while meeting business needs.
- Build, coach, and motivate a large finance team with a range of qualifications and experience levels, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Provide hands-on leadership, setting clear expectations and creating development opportunities to support both individual and team performance.
Key Requirements of candidates coming into this role include:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA Fully Qualified with significant years PQE
- Proven track record of oversight monthly reporting at a group level
- Strong group level reporting/ accounting background
- Experience in the hands-on line management of finance operations teams (10+) to drive long term performance and development of individuals within the team
- Strong Finance ERP exposure- experience in integrating and continuously improving finance tech stacks to drive long term efficiency improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
