A venture-backed, high-growth group operating across EMEA and the US in the middle of a major funding round.
The role
This is a newly established, high-visibility role. It owns the commercial finance agenda across both divisions and works directly with the CEO, divisional CEOs and senior leadership. The previous holder built the function from scratch. This is an opportunity to take it to the next stage as the business scales.
What you’ll own
- Financial modelling across the group: pricing models, investment appraisal, business case and CapEx models
- Investor materials and presentations to support the current fundraise and future rounds
- Commercial business partnering with leadership through to project managers, covering budgets, pricing and project performance
- Project accounting for service contracts and infrastructure developments, tracking actuals against budget for revenue, cost and cash flow
- Evaluating new opportunities and giving clear recommendations to support investment, pricing and contract decisions
- Supporting group reporting across international entities, working with overseas accountants
What you’ll bring
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong financial modelling and investment appraisal experience, ideally from a Big 4 or top 10 firm, a corporate finance or deals background, or a commercial finance role in industry
- The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and give recommendations, not just build the models
- Comfort working as a team of one in a fast-moving business, with appetite to build a team as it grows
- Funding round, transaction or IPO exposure is a strong advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally (around 20% to 30%, mainly the Middle East)
