About the Role

We are working with a high-growth, international technology business operating across multiple markets and legal entities worldwide.

The business is continuing to scale internationally and is looking to appoint an experienced

Group Financial Controller to take ownership of Group financial control, reporting and consolidation.

This is a senior role combining strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise with broader responsibility for controls, governance, audit, treasury and finance transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Group's financial control and reporting processes across a complex international legal entity structure.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end Group reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Own the Group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, FX and multi-currency reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity of the Group balance sheet, reconciliations and key financial controls.
  • Oversee consolidated financial statements and statutory reporting across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Ensure financial reporting complies with

IFRS and applicable local accounting requirements.

  • Develop and maintain consistent accounting policies, procedures and reporting standards across the Group.
  • Provide high-quality financial reporting and analysis to the CFO, leadership team and Board.
  • Financial Control, Governance & Audit
  • Strengthen the Group's financial control framework as the organisation scales.
  • Identify control weaknesses and implement appropriate improvements.
  • Establish robust financial processes, policies and governance across international entities.
  • Lead the external audit process through to completion.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, compliance, operations and risk teams on financial governance.
  • Treasury & Cash
  • Support Group cash flow, liquidity and working capital management.
  • Oversee appropriate accounting and controls around cash, settlement accounts and intercompany balances.
  • Provide clear visibility of cash movements and liquidity to senior management.
  • Support initiatives to improve working capital and financial efficiency.
  • Finance Transformation & Systems
  • Lead and support initiatives to improve finance systems, reporting and processes.
  • Drive improvements to the month-end close, consolidation and reporting timetable.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and control processes.
  • Work with Finance Systems and Technology teams to ensure systems support the Group's growth.
  • Establish consistent reporting structures and processes across entities.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead and develop an international financial control team.
  • Work closely with regional and entity-level finance teams to maintain consistent Group standards.
  • Partner with the CFO and wider leadership team on financial performance and reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Provide commercially relevant insight rather than simply reporting the numbers.

About You

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional with significant experience at

Group Financial Controller, Financial Controller or Head of Group Reporting level within a complex international organisation.

Ideal Experience for this role includes

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Strong

Group Financial Control and financial reporting experience.

  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge, ideally including

IFRS .

  • Proven experience across multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
  • Strong consolidation and intercompany accounting experience.
  • Experience leading statutory audits across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and risk management.
  • Experience partnering with CFOs and Finance Directors.
  • Previous experience within technology, payments, financial services, Saa S or another complex international environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong treasury, cash flow and working capital understanding.
  • Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation projects.
  • A track record of improving processes, controls and reporting infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively across different functions and geographies.
