We’re currently partnering with a high-growth, international group headquartered in London, seeking a Group Finance Manager to join their central finance function. This is a newly created role, reflecting strong growth and increased complexity across the business. The position is ideal for a technically strong accountant looking to move into a fast-paced, commercial environment.
You’ll play a key role in managing the Group’s technical accounting, statutory reporting, and financial governance – while supporting strategic finance initiatives across the global business.
- Take ownership of group statutory consolidation and technical accounting under IFRS
- Lead on the preparation and review of Group financial statements, working with external auditors and local finance teams
- Monitor and implement changes in IFRS and ensure compliance across all entities
- Act as a key point of contact for audit, internal controls, and financial governance
- Support ad hoc finance projects including acquisition accounting, restructuring, and treasury improvements
- Provide technical accounting advice on business transactions (e.g. M&A, intercompany arrangements, lease accounting)
- Collaborate with FP&A, tax, and commercial finance teams to provide insight and financial oversight
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices across group finance
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) – trained in a Big 4 or Top 10 practice
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and consolidated group accounting
- Experience preparing or auditing complex group accounts
- Confident communicator able to liaise with senior stakeholders across functions
- Prior industry experience an advantage but not essential – strong first-time mover from practice encouraged
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-growth and evolving environment
