Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range £70k-£83k + benefitsRole Overview This position will play a pivotal role in transforming how finance data is managed, visualised, and utilised across the organisation. The successful candidate will spearhead the development and implementation of advanced reporting solutions, including the use of Power BI and related tools, to enable data-driven decision-making and enhance finance user capability.You\’ll work closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to standardise reporting, optimise processes, and ensure the highest standards of data quality and governance. This is a highly collaborative role requiring technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills to drive meaningful insights that support strategic and operational objectives.Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the transition of existing finance reports into Power BI, ensuring consistency, usability, and alignment with best practices.Partner with senior finance stakeholders to prioritise reporting needs and champion a \”data-first\” approach across the function.Act as the primary liaison between Finance and the Data & Analytics team, providing subject matter expertise on reporting, data modelling, and visualisation.Support and grow the internal network of Power BI champions, ensuring capability development through training and mentoring.Define and maintain standards for reporting outputs, documentation, and data governance processes.Establish and oversee core finance datasets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organisational data policies.Collaborate with technology and business teams to define dataset requirements and manage implementation of solutions that meet both technical and business objectives.Deliver high-quality, insightful reports that effectively communicate performance trends, KPIs, and actionable recommendations.Identify and drive opportunities for automation and process optimisation within financial reporting.Maintain and govern finance BI workspaces and ensure alignment with broader organisational data strategy.Support audit and compliance checks relating to data integrity and reporting accuracy.General Responsibilities Act as a role model for organisational values, promoting a culture of trust, inclusion, and accountability.Take responsibility for your own learning and professional development, ensuring mandatory training is completed.Prioritise health and safety considerations in all activities.Perform other duties as reasonably required to support the changing needs of the finance function.Skills & Experience Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Strong experience delivering insights through data analytics and reporting solutions.Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.Advanced working knowledge of Power BI (including DAX), with practical experience of data modelling and visualisation.Familiarity with SQL and data governance principles.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing senior decision-makers.Solid understanding of financial systems and how finance data is structured and utilised.Experience leading small-scale reporting projects from concept to delivery.Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Tableau).Experience in developing self-service reporting solutions and driving user adoption.
