An exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a fast-paced, growth-focused business. This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, playing a key part in supporting planning, performance analysis, and process optimisation across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of demand planning processes, collaborating closely with finance, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Manage reporting for fixed assets across multiple business units, including R&D and operational support functions.
- Lead the review and reconciliation of inventory transactions and stock movements across financial and operational systems.
- Ensure the accuracy of purchase orders and sales orders across procurement and ERP platforms.
- Support senior finance and operational leadership with supplier management and inter-system reconciliation.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance internal processes, especially within finance, sales operations, and supply chain.
- Develop and report on key operational and financial KPIs (e.g. stock ageing, inventory turnover) to drive data-led decision-making.
- Take ownership of month-end tasks including accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Work with the Group Financial Controller on variance analysis and ensure reconciliation files are completed and reviewed on time.
- Maintain oversight of item receipt and invoice matching processes within ERP systems.
- Support wider team projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
- Ensure all processes are clearly documented and regularly reviewed for accuracy and improvement.
- Liaise with third-party logistics partners and support vendor relationship management as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Qualified or Finalist (ACCA, CIMA, ACA); candidates with strong experience but no qualification (QBE) also considered.
- Strong academic background; degree with a 2:1 or above preferred.
- Proficient with Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
- Previous experience using ERP and CRM systems (NetSuite and Salesforce highly advantageous).
- Strong analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data and drive action.
- Experience in fast-growing, investor-backed businesses (e.g. Private Equity or Venture Capital) is desirable.
- Solid understanding of management accounting, business partnering, and stock accounting processes.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a commercial finance or operational finance position.
