IN2 Consult is partnering with a large scale client on the recruitment of a senior finance transformation leader to take ownership of a large-scale Oracle Fusion–led finance change agenda. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Technology and the wider business, with responsibility for modernising finance platforms, removing legacy systems and unlocking the full value of cloud-based and AI-enabled solutions. This is a highly visible role, working with executive stakeholders to shape and deliver a multi-year finance transformation roadmap. You will lead complex, interdependent programmes that simplify finance architecture, strengthen controls, improve data quality and enable smarter, faster decision-making across the organisation.
The Role
- Own and lead a portfolio of finance transformation initiatives centred on Oracle Fusion Financials
- Drive the replacement of legacy finance systems with integrated, scalable cloud solutions
- Maximise end-to-end integration across finance, procurement, payroll, reporting and upstream/downstream systems
- Partner with Finance leadership to translate accounting, reporting and control requirements into robust system design
- Shape the roadmap for automation, AI and advanced analytics within the finance function
- Manage multiple workstreams with complex technical and business dependencies
- Maintain full accountability for programme governance, delivery milestones, budgets, resourcing and risk management
- Act as a senior bridge between Finance, IT, Systems Integrators and third-party vendors
- Establish strong delivery discipline while remaining comfortable operating in ambiguity during early programme phases
- Provide thought leadership on finance technology trends and best practice operating models
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Oracle Fusion finance implementations, upgrades or optimisations from design through to post-go-live stabilisation
- Define and sequence transformation initiatives to ensure business continuity and value delivery
- Oversee systems integration strategy, data migration, controls, testing and cutover planning
- Ensure finance processes (R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A, Treasury, Tax) are designed in line with accounting standards and regulatory expectations
- Embed strong governance, risk and control frameworks into future-state finance platforms
- Manage system integrators and technology partners, including commercials, delivery quality and SLAs
- Communicate progress, risks and outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders and steering committees
- Mentor and develop programme and transformation talent within the wider organisation
Required Experience
- Extensive experience leading large-scale finance transformation programmes, with a strong focus on Oracle Fusion Financials
- Demonstrable success replacing legacy ERP or finance platforms with modern cloud-based solutions
- Deep understanding of core finance processes and accounting principles (IFRS / UK GAAP)
- Strong grasp of financial controls, regulatory compliance and audit considerations within ERP transformations
- Proven ability to lead complex programmes across multiple teams, geographies and vendors
- Comfortable operating at senior leadership level and influencing Finance Directors, CFOs and Technology leaders
- Experience embedding automation, workflow optimisation, AI or advanced reporting into finance environments
- Track record of delivering programmes that balance speed, control and long-term scalability
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA or CIMA (essential)
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology or a related discipline
- Formal programme or project management qualifications (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, SAFe) beneficial but not required
