A leading UK firm of chartered accountants and business advisors is seeking an experienced CASS Manager to join its Financial Services Risk & Advisory team. The firm works with a broad range of entrepreneurial, high-growth and regulated businesses, including wealth managers, alternative investment managers, private equity and venture capital firms, and fintech organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist team focused on delivering CASS assurance and advisory services.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the continued expansion of the firm’s regulatory offering, helping to shape methodology, develop technical capability and strengthen client delivery across the portfolio. There will also be involvement in refining training materials, enhancing audit documentation and contributing to the integration of new regulatory developments, including CASS 15.
As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of regulated clients, acting as a trusted adviser and key point of contact throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage CASS audit engagements from planning through to completion and reporting
- Review work, provide technical guidance and coach junior team members
- Chair client meetings and manage stakeholder expectations
- Draft CASS assurance reports and resolve technical accounting or regulatory queries
- Monitor budgets, recoveries and engagement performance
- Oversee delivery of additional advisory or non-audit services where applicable
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities for further support
- Contribute to wider risk advisory and regulatory projects
- Support billing processes and commercial management of engagements
- Collaborate with other service lines to ensure cohesive client delivery
- Participate in business development initiatives, industry events and thought leadership
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Significant experience delivering CASS audits, including CASS 6, CASS 7 and safeguarding requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of the FCA Client Assets Sourcebook and its practical application
- Broader understanding of the UK financial services regulatory environment
- Experience within asset and wealth management environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience managing professional teams
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability
- Adaptable, commercially aware and confident working in a dynamic regulatory environment
