Financial Controller - Permanent - London (Hybrid) - Up to £90,000
IN2 Consult has an opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a fast-growing, private equity backed business.
The duties of the Financial Controller role include:
- Take ownership of the year-end close and audit process, ensuring a smooth, well-managed delivery.
- Act as the senior finance lead for audit preparation, stakeholder management and completion of statutory deliverables.
- Review and strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting in a lean finance environment.
- Oversee and support the outsourced day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clear accountability.
- Manage and develop the internal finance team, currently comprising an Analyst and Junior Analyst.
- Support finance due diligence, integration planning and post-acquisition activity if the proposed transaction completes.
- Provide clear financial insight and practical guidance to senior leadership during a period of growth and change.
- Help assess the longer-term structure, capability and resourcing required for the finance function.
The successful Financial Controller profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with substantial Financial Controller-level experience.
- Proven experience leading a year-end close and external audit, in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.
- Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on finance team and improving processes without requiring extensive infrastructure.
- Experience supporting an acquisition, financial due diligence or post-deal integration would be highly advantageous.
- Strong technical accounting, financial control and stakeholder-management capability.
- Able to lead junior team members while working effectively with outsourced finance providers.
- Pragmatic, commercially minded and able to operate confidently with senior stakeholders.
