The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 Β£ per year.
As a Junior Engineer, you will support the delivery of integrated technology systems across luxury residential and commercial sites. Working as part of a project team, you will assist with installation, termination, testing and setup of cabling and equipment. You will work alongside senior engineers, project managers and external contractors to ensure projects are delivered smoothly and handed over professionally. The role is occasionally client facing, so strong communication and professionalism are essential. You will also receive ongoing training to keep your knowledge up to date with the latest home automation and AV innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install multi room AV systems, lighting and shading controls, home cinema equipment and home IT networks
- Terminate and test Cat6, Cat6a, fibre, coaxial, speaker and other cabling
- Assist with rack building and second fix installations
- Work closely with senior engineers, project managers and procurement to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain excellent site etiquette and represent the company professionally with clients and other trades
- Follow health and safety practices and attend toolbox talks
- Complete weekly timesheets and support handovers at project completion
Skills and Experience
- It is beneficial but not essential to have some experience in one or more of the following:
- Working on construction sites or within residential installation environments
- Experience liaising with contractors, designers or client representatives
- Basic understanding of networking hardware including routers, switches and WiFi
- Exposure to AV equipment such as audio and video distribution or home cinema setups
- Knowledge of CCTV, door entry or access control systems
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions while also showing initiative when needed
