At IN2-AV, we are partnering with a prominent, independent technology engineering consultancy that understands that advanced modeling is the backbone of successful digital infrastructure. They are looking to bring a Senior BIM Design Specialist onto their team. This isn’t about just churning out drawings; it is a senior production career path focused on mastering complex BIM coordination and driving modeling strategy on some of the world's most sophisticated technical spaces, defining deliverable accuracy from programming through closeout. This is your opportunity to leverage deep Revit expertise to take full ownership of modeling workflows on unique briefs, guiding design quality from the start.
Why this role is different (and why you want it):
- Your Work Matters: You won’t just be modeling; you will Lead BIM Execution, directly improving design quality by applying strong production judgment to layout, routing, and coordination outcomes that keep project teams aligned.
- Real Mentorship: You won’t get buried in HR administration. You will focus on true technical leadership, serving as a leader in production by mentoring and training Designers to elevate their modeling capability, documentation habits, and standards knowledge.
- Innovation is Required: This firm values process improvement. You will explore modeling methods, tools, and automation opportunities that enhance workflows and increase efficiency.
- Tech-Forward Workflows: You will manage workflows, standards, and QA/QC through highly structured platforms and developer-centric version control like GitHub, eliminating legacy paperwork grinds.
What the Impact of Success Looks Like:
- Deliver fully coordinated, constructible Revit models and documentation with minimal oversight.
- Translate engineer markups into buildable, process-driven documentation, anticipating and resolving conflicts before they become RFIs.
- Successfully run clash detection, resolving complex cross-discipline issues independently.
- Maintain model health across multiple high-value projects.
- Author meaningful Pull Requests that genuinely strengthen the firm's tools, templates, and workflows.
Are you the right fit?
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 4+ years of AEC industry experience, reflecting deep expertise in Revit and complex construction documentation.
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, paired with familiarity across Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Asana, and GitHub.
- A solid understanding of cross-discipline coordination, building system interactions, and how modeling decisions impact construction.
- The ability to independently manage coordinated models across several projects concurrently.
- Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent advanced experience).
Preferred "Pluses":
- Experience modeling technology systems (AV, Security, Acoustics, Network, Telecom/ICT), or hold relevant certifications like RCDD, CTS, CDT, PSP, or Autodesk Certified Professional.
The Package & Demands:
- Circa £80,000 to £130,000 basic plus package (DOE).
- Highly Flexible/Hybrid Role: Work from Home or Office ~75%, with ~25% travel for site walks and inspections.
- Regular reading, writing, computer/desk work, and site activities requiring standing/walking, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting equipment up to 25 pounds.
