We’re looking for a knowledgeable and commercially aware Safety & Quality Specialist to join a respected and forward‑thinking organisation operating at the heart of the food industry. This is a varied and engaging role, combining technical consultancy, training delivery, auditing, and project work — ideal for someone who enjoys applying their expertise across a wide range of food safety and quality challenges.
About You
- Degree qualified in a relevant scientific or food-related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Solid technical background within food manufacturing, technical, quality, or food safety enforcement.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety management systems and relevant industry standards.
- HACCP Level 3 qualified, with auditing experience.
- Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
What will you be doing?
- Delivering technical consultancy, training, and research projects to internal and external clients.
- Responding to technical enquiries and carrying out site audits and pre‑audits.
- Designing and delivering training courses, both scheduled and client‑specific.
- Interpreting data and preparing clear, professional technical reports.
- Supporting business development through proposal writing and client engagement.
- Working collaboratively across teams to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions.
- Supporting internal audits and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
