Overview: As the Engineering Manager, you will be a vital driving force behind the strategic directorship and day to day operations of our client's food manufacturing facility. You will spearhead a team of skilled engineers and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure robust maintenance planning, minimise downtime and drive site efficiency.

About You:

  • Substantial leadership in a Food Manufacturing/FMCG environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Health & Safety Level 2.
  • Experience managing reliability, maintainability and CAPEX budgets.
  • Track record in project delivery, vendor negotiation, management of contractors.
  • Effective communicator with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to deal with complexity and change, prioritise effectively and deliver within short timescales.

What will you be doing?

As the Engineering Manager you will work closely with the Head of Engineering, managing and implementing the engineering strategy and roadmap in accordance with site objectives, sustainability and food safety standards. Drive continuous improvement across site with a data driven approach. You'll set targets and KPIs. Manage maintenance cost control - monitor budgets, negotiate vendor pricing, and tender effectively.
