The Role

We’re looking for a Smart Buildings Technical Service Manager to take ownership of multi-technology projects from design through to commissioning, integration, and ongoing support. Acting as the go-to technical authority, you’ll ensure our Smart Building solutions — spanning BMS, EMS, lighting, vertical transport, IoT, and more — deliver performance, safety, and future-ready functionality. You’ll oversee delivery partners, manage resources and budgets, and provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle. This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance governance, client engagement, and innovation, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and financial performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Smart Building projects end-to-end: design, vendor management, delivery, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Act as technical lead for bids, proposals, and tender responses.
  • Ensure compliance through design reviews, commissioning, FAT testing, and close-out.
  • Oversee Approved Partners, ensuring quality, risk, and H&S standards are met.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and resource planning.
  • Act as senior technical escalation point for clients and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience with Smart Building integration or as a Master Systems Integrator.
  • Strong expertise in BMS/EMS systems, commissioning, optimisation, and multi-platform delivery.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Secure MQTT, and building data communications.
  • Experience integrating OT systems (lighting control, AV, security, IoT sensors).
  • Understanding of standards and ontologies (BRICK, Project Haystack, ISO 19650, UDMI).
  • Familiarity with SmartScore, WiredScore, WELL, NABERS certifications.
  • Confident leader with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and partners.
