Lead Installation & Commissioning Engineer – Access Control & Security Systems
Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled and driven Lead Installation & Commissioning Engineer to take charge of deploying, maintaining, and optimising advanced site security and access control systems. This role combines hands‑on technical delivery with leadership, mentoring, and a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installation and commissioning of access control and CCTV systems to high technical standards.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex system issues and provide expert‑level support.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and apprentices.
- Ensure compliance with all H&S and quality assurance procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers to deliver seamless installations and handovers.
- Deliver user and super‑user training on‑site or remotely.
- Support continuous improvement, stock management, and QA checks.
About You:
- Proven experience installing, commissioning, and maintaining access control and CCTV systems.
- Strong background in field‑based engineering with customer‑facing experience.
- Confident leading teams and mentoring others.
- Able to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Competent with Microsoft systems and general IT tools.
