Job Title: Junior Data Cabling Engineer Location: Near Milton Keynes (onsite and travel included) Salary: £26k-28k (DOE) About the Role: Our client, a leading provider of network infrastructure solutions, is looking for a Junior Data Cabling Engineer to join their growing team near Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in structured cabling and networking, looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fibre optic cables. Supporting the team in carrying out cable management and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Following technical drawings and project plans to ensure correct installation. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards. Maintaining tools, equipment, and stock as required for projects. Providing excellent customer service while working on client sites. Learning and developing technical knowledge through training and mentorship. Requirements: Some experience or knowledge of data cabling, network infrastructure, or IT support (preferred but not essential). Willingness to learn and develop a career in structured cabling. Basic understanding of Cat5e, Cat6, and fibre optic cabling. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
