Data Engineer (Contract) An established Renewable Energy company based in Manchester are currently on the lookout for a Data Engineer to help them on an internal project on an initial 6-month contract. If you have experience working within the Energy / Utilities sector this will be an advantage. Details: Data Scientist 6 months (initial contract) Hybrid Remote (Manchester) £350/day (Outside IR35) Key responsibilities: Lead design, development, and maintenance of Databricks solutions and databases. Manage workstreams to create solutions that extract, transform, cleanse, and load data (ETL/ELT). Conduct unit, system, and performance tests and creating comprehensive documentation. Follow agile project delivery methodologies. Stay up to date on the latest data engineering trends and technologies. Krey Skills / Experience: Databricks – hands on experience developing engineering solutions in Databricks ecosystem, including Unity Catalog, and cluster administration. SQL – writing optimised and complex queries and understanding of relational databases. Python – we specialise in Python solutions. DevOps – hands on experience using tools like Terraform for IAC, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD. Microsoft Azure – Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL Server. Microsoft Fabric – or another spark engine.
