The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will manage a ready-made desk combining existing accounts and new business opportunities. You will sell technology and commercial training solutions to B2B clients, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close. This is a 60/40 split between existing accounts and new business (flexing to 70/30 depending on pipeline), with a healthy mix of warm and cold prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow existing customer accounts while generating new business opportunities
- Execute full outbound sales activity: cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, CRM engagement and follow-ups
- Engage with key decision-makers within professional services organisations
- Manage and progress opportunities through the sales cycle to close
- Accurately log activity and pipeline in the CRM
- Work towards achievable revenue targets, with a structured ramp-up and reduced targets in the first 6 months
Targets & Performance
- Annual revenue target circa £250k-£300k (ramped)
- Realistic and well-supported targets — most new starters exceed 100% in year one
About You
- 1-5 years' experience in a B2B sales role (BDE, SDR, Account Executive, Inside Sales, etc.)
- Comfortable with outbound activity and relationship-led selling
- Confident communicator with a resilient, proactive mindset
- Motivated by targets, development, and progression
- Experience selling services or solutions (training, tech, SaaS, professional services ideal but not essential)
