The Role
- Lead purchasing activities for raw and indirect materials and plant maintenance stores.
- Implement MRO strategies to reduce vendor numbers and enhance supplier integration.
- Collaborate with production operations to manage warehouse or production changes affecting supply chain processes.
- Ensure supplier compliance with corporate procedures through regular audits.
- Provide quarterly material forecasts and update Finance on price changes affecting Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives.
- Manage compliance with relevant regulations and support Finance with audit requests.
Ideal Profile
- Relevant professional qualifications such as MCIPS or equivalent are desirable.
- Extensive experience in supply chain management within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage multi-disciplined teams.
- Proficient in supplier and customer relationship management.
- Skilled in business analysis, process improvement, and organizational transformation.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
