We have a fantastic new role for a long established fashion company!
Are you creative and eager for a new opportunity. This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving company, offering excellent potential to drive your career forwards. The UK’s market leading manufacturer of character nightwear. They offer day/nightwear, loungewear, and swimwear design to the UK’s largest high street retailers and online companies.
They are looking to recruit an assistant designer to nurture and grow with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out trend and competitor research, creating mood boards and regular shopping reports
- Working independently and with designers
- Creating detailed tech packs to send to factories, regular contact with factory partners to ensure clear understanding and smooth production
- Working on licensed character Ladies/ Men’s Nightwear
- Prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Identify trend in fabrics, colours, print and shapes, developing into new collections, covering a wide range of licensed product
- General design room administration
Requirements:
- BA in fashion design or similar, industry placement is an advantage but not essential
- Strong adobe illustrator & photoshop skills
- Strong presentation, communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work well individually and successfully as part of a team
- Confident and passionate about design
- Creative and on trend adaptable Handwriting ability
