Are you organised, confident on the phone and great with people? Do you enjoy researching brilliant venues, negotiating a great deal and turning an initial enquiry into a happy client? In Any Event UK is looking for an enthusiastic Venue Finder & Sales Co-ordinator to join our friendly and busy events team. This is a varied role combining venue finding, client relationship management, sales and event support. No two days are quite the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and has the confidence to make things happen.
About In Any Event: In Any Event is an established, independent event management and venue finding agency. We work with a wide variety of clients to deliver everything from conferences and exhibitions to product launches, corporate events and special experiences. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. We're known for our personal approach, attention to detail and commitment to finding the right solution rather than simply the easiest one.
The Role: A key part of the position will be managing venue finding enquiries from initial brief through to confirmation. You'll speak directly with clients to understand exactly what they're looking for, research suitable venues, check availability, negotiate rates and added value, and present the best options back to the client in a professional and engaging way. You'll be responsible for keeping clients updated throughout the process and making sure every enquiry is managed accurately and efficiently.
- Managing venue finding enquiries from start to finish
- Taking detailed client briefs and understanding their event requirements
- Researching and recommending suitable venues
- Contacting venues to check availability and place provisional holds
- Negotiating rates and added value on behalf of our clients
- Producing professional, client-facing venue proposals
- Keeping clients regularly updated throughout their search
- Maintaining accurate information within our bespoke enquiry and CRM systems
- Following up with clients after their events
- Managing venue-related administration, client recharges and credit arrangements
Sales & Business Development: Sales is an important part of this position. We're looking for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations and helping us develop new business.
- Make regular outbound sales calls to prospective clients
- Research potential new clients and opportunities
- Work towards a target of at least 20 sales calls per week
- Generate a target of 4 new business appointments per month
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Support promotions, special offers and client communications
- Attend exhibitions and networking opportunities when required
You don't need to be a pushy salesperson. We're looking for someone who is confident, personable, professional and genuinely enjoys talking to people and building relationships.
Event Support: You'll also become part of our wider events team, giving you the opportunity to get involved in the events themselves.
- Supporting Event Managers with event administration and planning
- Assisting with delegate registration
- Working with our Eazybook registration system
- Producing reports and information for clients
- Helping with a variety of event tasks as required
- Attending and supporting events onsite, including occasional evenings and weekends
Who Are We Looking For? We're looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic and motivated
- Naturally organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident speaking to clients and suppliers
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls
- Customer focused and committed to delivering excellent service
- A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Able to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines
- A good negotiator
- Happy working independently while also being a real team player
- Proactive and willing to take ownership
- Positive, with a genuine "can do" attitude
Experience in venues, hospitality and the events industry: Previous experience within events, hotels, hospitality, venue finding, sales or customer service would be an advantage, but just as important to us is finding someone with the right attitude, personality and enthusiasm to learn.
Why Join In Any Event? This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a role with genuine variety and the chance to develop within the events industry. You'll work alongside an experienced events team, gain exposure to a wide range of clients, venues and events, and have the opportunity to see projects progress from the first enquiry right through to the event itself. We're a close-knit team where everyone's contribution matters, and we're looking for someone who wants to become a real part of the business rather than simply fill a role.
