IMW Campus is recruiting an Associate Director of Business Development with an entrepreneurial spirit in a community, not-for-profit setting. We have forty years of very successful delivery of high-quality training in Music Production and Sound Recording. We have state-of-the-art Studios designed by world renowned acoustics designers and world-class Solid State Logic Technology. We have contracts to deliver further and higher education qualifications in Music Production and Sound Recording for the Music Industry by highly qualified and successful teaching staff. Our alumni have gone on to major success in their careers.
You will work with the CEO, Course Director and Marketing Team supported by the Administrator in your critical role managing the smooth running of all business and development activities. You will implement improvements to effective working across the business and student recruitment and contribute to the planning of growth strategies for the business. Working within our small, dynamic team you will have a high level of influence and direct impact on the expansion of IMW Campus.
Your Profile
- Strong candidates will offer proven high-level experience in business management and administration and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- You will have a strong desire to work in a socially driven business and a proactive, solutions-focused “can do” attitude is essential to flourish in our small team.
- You will have at least 3 years professional experience at management level in education and music technology provision.
- You are well organized and understand the importance of business management, administration and development.
- You are able to work well independently and in a team.
- Have a positive working attitude with the ability to make your mark and a significant contribution to the development of IMW Campus.
- You will have managed budgets and target optimizations.
- You will also have experience of using WordPress to enable you to manage website content and work with designers contributing to the development of the site when necessary.
- You will have strong analytical skills and experience using Google Analytics.
Responsibilities
- Working in the leadership team you will help implement our growth strategy by pro-actively managing and improving the smooth running and effectiveness of the mission, facilities, business operations, processes, systems and student recruitment.
- Ensuring all technology and operations are up to date in line with current industry technical standards, legislation and accreditation requirements, actively seeking out and implementing new, best practice opportunities.
- Be a contact for key contracts, dealing with all enquiries with our stakeholders, at all levels.
- Leading on monitoring and reporting on business, technical and recruitment KPIs with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Qualifications - Essential
- Degree level or equivalent.
Skills and experience - essential
- Manager level with at least 3 years’ experience, in educational business operations, administration, budget management.
- High level experience in Music Education and knowledge of the wider sector.
- Experience of managing facilities and training in the Music and Sound Production education and training sector.
- Experience of people management and delegation.
- Proven Experience of a highly organised and efficient multi-tasker, able to work to KPI's with a keen eye for detail and high standards.
- Proficient with databases, able to analyse data and draw insights from business analytics with advanced IT skills.
- Familiarity with social media and email campaigns and updating Wordpress websites and briefing designers.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in contracted stakeholder relationship building and management.
- Excellent written English and grammar and the ability to write engaging content, marketing copy and reports for the CEO and Board.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
