A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced and motivated VAT Manager to join its dynamic tax team – one of the largest outside the Big Four in Scotland. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and challenging assignments, collaborate with experts across the firm, and play a key role in delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of high-quality VAT advisory projects, including land & property, international transactions, partial exemption, and diligence work.
- Provide technical guidance on VAT compliance, planning, and structuring.
- Review complex VAT compliance work and ensure exceptional standards.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to drive growth.
- Manage client relationships and deliver proactive, high-quality advice.
- Coach and develop junior team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and foster a positive team culture.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong alignment with organisational purpose and values.
- Proven VAT expertise and ability to deliver outstanding client service.
- Experience in managing and coaching teams.
- ATT, CTA, or CA qualification desirable – but not essential if relevant experience is demonstrated.
