A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced and motivated VAT Manager to join its dynamic tax team – one of the largest outside the Big Four in Scotland. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and challenging assignments, collaborate with experts across the firm, and play a key role in delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of high-quality VAT advisory projects, including land & property, international transactions, partial exemption, and diligence work.
  • Provide technical guidance on VAT compliance, planning, and structuring.
  • Review complex VAT compliance work and ensure exceptional standards.
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities to drive growth.
  • Manage client relationships and deliver proactive, high-quality advice.
  • Coach and develop junior team members.
  • Contribute to process improvements and foster a positive team culture.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong alignment with organisational purpose and values.
  • Proven VAT expertise and ability to deliver outstanding client service.
  • Experience in managing and coaching teams.
  • ATT, CTA, or CA qualification desirable – but not essential if relevant experience is demonstrated.
