The Role
The Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting continuous improvement across the finance function. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone proactive and adaptable, with strong technical skills and the confidence to work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting a 5‑day month‑end close
- Posting journals including accruals and prepayments
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany
- Completing VAT returns and assisting with statutory reporting
- Supporting year‑end audit and liaising with external advisors
- Assisting with ad‑hoc projects
- Building strong relationships across the business and providing financial insight
The Ideal Candidate
- Part‑qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in management accounting within industry (SME or manufacturing preferred)
- Genuinely strong Excel skills
- Power BI experience desirable
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage non‑finance stakeholders
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
