The Role

This 12-month fixed-term contract is a vital role within the finance function, focusing on fund management, technical reporting, and ensuring efficient financial operations.

You will play a key part in managing investments alongside preparing consolidated group accounts, reporting to key stakeholders, and supporting strategic projects.

  • Reconciling fund transactions across a large and complex portfolio.
  • Prepare and review subsidiary and consolidated group accounts in compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Process investment manager reports and create financial journal entries. Support audit preparations and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to projects involving finance systems and organisational improvements.
  • Oversee weekly payment runs and ensure accuracy.
  • The Ideal Candidate

You will be a technically strong accountant with extensive experience in fund accounting or investment portfolios.

You thrive in dynamic environments, are highly autonomous, and excel at partnering with stakeholders to provide financial clarity and insight.

  • Mandatory
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years PQE.
  • Proven experience in fund or investment accounting, including reconciliations and journal creation.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including consolidated group accounts preparation.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience managing payment runs and reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Preferred
  • Experience with Opera or similar finance systems.
  • Background in fund accounting or similar sector environments.
  • Previous involvement in statutory accounts preparation for multiple entities.
  • Exposure to finance transformation or process improvement projects.
  • Business partnering experience within finance-focused roles.
