The role is for a Senior Manager overseeing end-to-end compliance operations in the department. You will lead process improvements, ensure service excellence, and develop client relationships.   • Lead daily compliance activities, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality standards.
  • Review and sign off low-risk statutory accounts, maintaining accuracy and standards compliance (UK GAAP, IFRS).
  • Improve accounts production and review processes for scalability and consistency.
  • Act as an escalation point for technical accounting and quality issues.
  • Manage workflow, capacity planning, and resource allocation for the team.
  • Coach staff to support professional growth and capability enhancement.
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams, supporting integrated service delivery and insights.
  • Drive automation projects and process optimisation initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

You bring a proven track record in compliance or statutory accounts management within professional services or financial sectors. Your expertise in balancing technical accuracy with operational efficiency will be key to success. Strong leadership and relationship-building skills are essential.

  • Mandatory
    • 5+ years’ experience in financial compliance, accounts review or audit.
    • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/CPA.
    • Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101 standards.
    • Proven experience reviewing and signing off statutory accounts.
    • Ability to manage technical queries, risks, and team performance.
    • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), compliance systems, and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Preferred
    • Experience implementing automation and data analytics solutions.
    • Exposure to broader tax or advisory services.
    • Familiarity with workflow management tools and capacity planning software.
    • Leadership experience coaching teams in professional services.
    • Knowledge of M&A or finance transformation projects.
