iMultiply are supporting a well‑established and values‑led organisation based in Edinburgh, to recruit a part‑time Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail‑oriented individual to join a collaborative and purpose‑driven business.
This role sits within a close‑knit and supportive business and will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision‑making across the business. Working closely with company directors, the successful candidate will be involved in day‑to‑day financial operations and help drive improvements in processes and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, with commentary and analysis
- Reconciling key balance sheet accounts including cash, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets
- Providing expenditure analysis vs. budget/forecast, highlighting variances and contributing to cost control
- Handling all day‑to‑day transactional finance duties
- Will support and oversee Credit Controller in the team
- Supporting the annual budget and monthly forecasting process
- Managing credit card and expense processing in line with company policy
- Supporting audit preparation and ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Contributing to cross‑departmental collaboration including onboarding of new suppliers/customers
- Driving continuous improvement and sharing knowledge within the finance team
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a management accounting role, ideally within an SME environment
- Strong understanding of core finance processes and reporting requirements
- Part‑qualified, fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CA), or qualified by experience
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, data analysis functions)
- Confident communicator – able to explain financial data clearly to non‑finance colleagues
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong organisational skills
- Experience with Xero would prove beneficial
