About the Role
As a Trainee Accountant, you\'ll work closely with experienced managers and partners while gaining hands-on exposure to a variety of clients. You\'ll develop your technical skills and professional expertise across a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Bookkeeping using cloud-based software such as Xero, Sage Business Cloud, and Sage 50
- Preparing VAT returns accurately and on time
- Assisting managers and partners with ad-hoc projects and client queries
- Ensuring compliance deadlines are met efficiently and to a high standard
We\'re looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the profession. You\'ll bring:
- Around 2 years\' experience within a UK accountancy practice and currently studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, enthusiastic team player who can also work independently
