We are working with a well-established independent accountancy firm in Glasgow who are looking to recruit a Tax Assistant to join their growing tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in tax compliance who is keen to continue developing their career in a supportive, professional environment.
The Role
- Preparation of Personal Tax Returns (self-assessment, partnerships, trusts where applicable)
- Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns
- Liaising with HMRC and responding to routine queries
- Working closely with senior team members to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintaining accurate client records and files
This is an office-based role in Glasgow, offering strong exposure to a varied client portfolio.
The Ideal Candidate
- At least 18 months’ experience working in a tax-focused role within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing personal and corporate tax returns OR experience in one but an appetite to work in both
- Studying or keen to study towards a relevant tax qualification (ATT, CTA)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
