One of Scotland’s fastest growing businesses is partnered with iMultiply to recruit a Payroll Assistant (Part-Time) in Glasgow. This role is ideal for someone with solid payroll experience who enjoys working in a busy, collaborative environment and values consistency and reliability in their work schedule.

The Role
As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a large and growing workforce. You’ll handle payroll queries, manage commission structures, and support the wider finance and HR teams.
You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
- Managing employee data including starters, leavers, and changes.
- Handling high volumes of payroll-related queries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Calculating and processing commissions and bonuses.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements including PAYE, NI, and pensions.
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
- Supporting audits and internal controls related to payroll.
- Collaborating with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Experience with commissions and variable pay structures.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle queries confidently.
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
On Offer
The role of Payroll Assistant will offer a salary of £30,000 FTE, plus benefits and the opportunity to work in a supportive and growing business with a consistent part-time schedule.
