iMultiply is recruiting for a well-established organisation in Glasgow in their search for an Interim Payroll Assistant for a 6-month contract to support during a payroll system transformation.
The Role
As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of payroll operations while they transition to a new system. You’ll work closely with HR, finance, and IT teams to maintain accurate records, process payroll data, and support the implementation of the new system.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for council employees
- Maintain accurate employee records, including starters, leavers, and changes
- Support data migration and testing activities related to the new payroll system
- Respond to payroll queries from staff in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates during the transformation
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in payroll administration
- Confident using payroll software and Excel
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
