An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Mixed Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join the Business Advisory team at a dynamic, tech-enabled professional services firm with offices across Scotland. This forward-thinking firm supports businesses at every stage of their lifecycle, helping them manage their most critical functions — their people and their finances. About the Role As a Mixed Tax Manager/Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services across a broad client portfolio. The role spans both corporate and personal tax, and includes team management, strategic planning, and business development responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Manage annual tax return compliance for companies, individuals, and partnerships Deliver tax planning services including: Remuneration planning Corporate tax strategy Succession planning Capital Gains Tax advice Benefits in kind Collaborate across teams to provide well-rounded advice that may include VAT, international taxes, LBTT, and Stamp Duties Oversee the delivery of work across the Business Advisory and Private Client teams, supporting compliance for a portfolio of ~1,800 clients Lead onboarding and proposal processes for new clients Monitor and mentor junior team members, ensuring delivery standards and progression Produce technical content (blogs, presentations) aligned with your area of expertise Identify opportunities to enhance client service across all touchpoints About You Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CA, ATT, CTA) Strong experience in both corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory Previous experience managing a team within a professional services or accountancy firm Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple client demands Experience handling a client portfolio and maintaining strong client relationships Confident using tax software (e.g. Alphatax, CCH) Proactive, clear communicator with a commercial mindset On Offer Be part of a modern and people-centric business that values honesty, energy, and ambition Work in a culture that supports development and innovation Hybrid flexibility and a collaborative, non-hierarchical team environment Offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling – choose the location that works for you If you like the look of this vacancy and think you could perform the role, but, you don\’t think you meet all the requirements, please DO APPLY for this opportunity.
