THE ROLE

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Tax Assistant position based in East Kilbride. The role centres on managing and preparing personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation.   • Prepare and review personal tax returns, including self-assessment and capital gains
  • Assist with compliance checks and ensure adherence to current tax laws
  • Collaborate with team members on complex tax issues and client projects
  • Maintain organised records and meet deadlines for multiple deliverables

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will bring solid experience in tax compliance and a strong understanding of relevant accounting principles.   • Proven experience in tax compliance and return preparation (min 2-3 years)
  • Knowledge of self-assessment, capital gains, and CIS tax areas
  • Familiarity with tax software and spreadsheets, ideally including accounting tools
  • Strong attention to detail with accuracy in deliverables
  • Awareness of current and upcoming tax legislation changes
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Preferred:
  • Professional qualification such as CTA, ATT, or equivalent
  • Experience with financial statements and general accounting principles
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with ERP or specialised tax software
