THE ROLE
The organisation is seeking a part-time Payroll Officer to join their team.
You will handle payroll processing, client queries, and statutory reporting.
The role provides a good level of independence with opportunities for growth and development.
- Process weekly and monthly payrolls using Sage Payroll
- Submit all RTI reports to HMRC, including FPS and EPS submissions
- Administer workplace pension schemes and auto-enrolment duties
- Respond promptly to payroll and pension queries from clients, HMRC, and providers
- Manage year-end payroll processes, including P11Ds and statutory payments
- Maintain accurate payroll calculations and records to meet deadlines
- THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You should have a positive approach to payroll and a keen eye for detail.
The right candidate will be proactive, well-organised, and confident in their communication.
Experience with payroll processing, especially Sage Payroll, is essential.

- At least 2 years’ experience in payroll within a bureau or accountancy setting
- Knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including RTI, pensions, and statutory payments
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll software
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workloads effectively
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and stakeholders
- Payroll qualification or relevant professional development

- Knowledge of payroll for varied client sectors, including arts and media
