iMultiply are supporting a well-established organisation in Edinburgh to recruit a full-time Finance Cashier on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to join a collaborative and busy finance team.
The Role
This role sits within a close-knit and supportive cashiering function and will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth processing of banking transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across finance, legal, land, and sales.
As the Finance Cashier, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
- Performing daily checks of bank transactions and journal entries
- Reconciling approximately 17 bank accounts
- Month-end responsibilities including reconciliation of house sale statements
- Processing Faster Payments, CHAPS, international and intercompany transfers
- Posting cheques and making deposits at the bank
- Updating supplier, subcontractor, customer, and employee records
- Recovering VAT on legal invoices
- Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:
- Previous experience in a similar cashier or transactional finance role
- Strong numerical and data accuracy skills
- Good IT skills, particularly proficiency in relevant software
