THE ROLE
As a Transactional Finance Consultant, you will support a key system migration to Sage Intacct, assist with financial data clean-up, and manage essential finance tasks during this transitional phase. Your role will blend technical system migration work with day-to-day finance activities, ensuring smooth operations and system integrity. You will work closely with the finance team and external consultants to deliver a successful project.
- Support data cleansing and validation before migration to Sage Intacct
- Assist in migrating finance data from older Sage systems to the cloud-based platform
- Oversee sales invoicing, credit control, and receivables during the transition
- Contribute to testing and process alignment for the new system
- Collaborate with IT, external teams, and internal finance staff
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, Sage 200, or similar cloud ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of data validation, cleansing, and migration processes
- Familiarity with credit control, sales invoicing, and accounts receivable workflows
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis); Power BI experience advantageous
- Able to work independently with excellent organisational skills in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred: ERP system implementation experience beyond Sage platforms
- Experience supporting transition projects in small finance teams
- Comfortable with operational finance and practical problem-solving
ON OFFER
This temporary role is ideal for a finance professional seeking varied, meaningful work during a critical period of digital transformation. The position offers flexibility for some remote work after onboarding, with five days in the office in the Edinburgh-area. The initial contract is planned for two months, with potential extension depending on project progression. You will join a busy, supportive team managing an important ERP upgrade alongside routine financial responsibilities, gaining significant experience in data migration and system implementation.
