We’re supporting a brand-new, purpose-built manufacturing facility undergoing significant investment and transformation. This business is now rebuilding a modern, automation-led site, with a clear plan to scale. This isn’t a “steady state” maintenance role, it’s an opportunity to shape, influence, and build. They are looking for someone who wants ownership, autonomy, and the chance to develop alongside the business.

The Role:

  • Take ownership of electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site
  • Work closely with PLC-controlled and automated systems
  • Support the upgrade and modernisation of legacy equipment
  • Play a hands-on role in improving reliability and reducing downtime
  • Contribute ideas and input into how maintenance is structured moving forward
  • Develop your own capability in PLC fault finding and automation

This role offers genuine autonomy, you won’t be one of many, you’ll be the engineer helping drive standards.

The Person:

  • Around 5 years’ experience within manufacturing or engineering
  • A multi-skilled background (electrical bias preferred)
  • Strong fault-finding capability, with exposure to PLC systems
  • A proactive mindset — someone who takes ownership rather than waits to be told

Essential:

  • 18th Edition
  • Multi-skilled maintenance experience
  • Manufacturing environment background

Desirable:

  • IOSH (or similar H&S awareness)
  • PLC knowledge (fault finding or exposure)
