A leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-specification components into sectors including motorsport, defence and transport is looking for a Machine Operator to join its growing production team in Gloucester.
The Role
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of manually controlled production machinery to manufacture precision components to specification. Working from engineering drawings and within set tolerances, you will support production output while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manually controlled machinery including saws, sanders and drills
- Work from technical and engineering drawings
- Prepare and load materials for production
- Manufacture components to specification and tolerances
- Carry out in-process inspection and quality checks
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Use ERP systems to track production activities
- Report machine or production issues to supervisors
- Maintain health & safety standards at all times
- Support housekeeping and continuous improvement activities
About You
- Previous machine operating experience within manufacturing
- Experience using manual production machinery
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Understanding of measurement and inspection processes
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Experience producing precision components desirable
- Strong work ethic and team-focused attitude
