A leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying complex components into highly regulated industries including motorsport, defence and transport is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join its growing production team in Gloucester.

The Role

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision-engineered components. Working from technical drawings and operating within tight tolerances, you will play a key role in maintaining quality, efficiency and on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines with Fanuc/Haas controls
  • Work from technical and engineering drawings
  • Load programmes and set up machinery for production runs
  • Prepare and load materials and components
  • Manufacture parts to tight tolerances and specifications
  • Conduct in-process inspection and quality checks
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately
  • Use ERP systems to record and track production activity
  • Report machine or production issues to supervisors
  • Follow health & safety and quality procedures at all times

The Person

  • Previous CNC operating experience is essential
  • Experience producing precision-engineered components
  • Knowledge of Fanuc or Haas controls
  • Understanding of M & G codes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of measuring equipment and inspection processes
  • Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship) desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
