A leading precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-specification components into sectors including motorsport, defence and transport is looking for an Assembly Inspector to join its growing production team in Gloucester.

The Role

As an Assembly Inspector, you will be responsible for completing assembly, part marking and inspection activities, ensuring products meet quality standards and are delivered on time. This role combines hands-on assembly work with visual and dimensional inspection, production documentation and stock control processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete assembly, bending and part marking activities to specification
  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspections in line with inspection plans
  • Check production paperwork for completion and compliance
  • Confirm part quantities against manufacturing orders
  • Book completed operations into the ERP system
  • Support movement of finished products into stores
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Meet daily production and quality targets
  • Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards
  • Support continuous improvement and process efficiency

The Person

  • Experience within assembly or manufacturing inspection
  • Basic visual and dimensional inspection experience
  • ERP system experience desirable
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
