Technical Author Worcester Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Benefits Permanent Position An established engineering business is seeking a Technical Author to produce and maintain technical documentation for specialist equipment supplied to the food and pharmaceutical industries. Key Responsibilities * Create and maintain operating, installation and maintenance manuals. * Compile customer documentation packs and verify supplier certification. * Ensure documentation complies with relevant Machinery, ATEX and CE/UKCA requirements. * Work with engineering teams to incorporate design changes and maintain accurate document revisions. * Produce technical specifications, spare parts lists and conformity documentation. * Support risk assessments, supplier documentation and customer validation requirements. * Coordinate translations and create clear, user-friendly technical instructions. About You * Engineering or technical writing qualification, or equivalent experience. * Experience producing technical documentation for machinery or engineering equipment. * Understanding of Machinery Regulations, CE/UKCA marking and ATEX. * Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical information into clear instructions. * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and document management systems. Experience within the food or pharmaceutical sectors, including food hygiene requirements, would be advantageous
