Our client, a leading public sector services organisation, is hiring a Management Accountant to deliver high-quality management accounting support across key service areas. This role offers the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, strengthen financial performance and drive continuous improvement across a complex and diverse organisation.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the provision of management accounting support for allocated service areas
- Oversee monthly budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis
- Coordinate annual budget setting and final accounts processes
- Support and guide finance colleagues to ensure quality and deadline adherence
- Prepare year-end audit papers and statutory/government returns
You’ll work closely with senior finance leaders, heads of service and budget holders to provide robust financial insight, challenge assumptions and promote a strong corporate approach to resource management.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (or equivalent experience)
- Strong background in management accounting
