Bishops Cleeve, Gloucestershire (office-based with regular UK client visits)

£30,000 – £40,000 base + commission + benefits

Our client, a leading technology solutions business, is hiring an Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of large, established clients. This role is ideal for someone with real drive and enthusiasm, who enjoys being client-facing, commercially focused and close to project delivery.

You’ll act as the key link between the sales team and operations, ensuring services and solutions are delivered on time, on budget and to a consistently high standard.

What you’ll do

Take full ownership of your accounts from an account management perspective

Manage and grow relationships with key clients, focusing on retention, upsell and new business generation

Support Line Manager to deliver against revenue and performance targets

Oversee quality control of project specifications and ensure correct gross margins are achieved

Liaise directly with customers on-site and off-site, attending client meetings and reviews as required

Visit key clients regularly to deepen relationships and understand their future needs

Report weekly on figures and maintain a clear, accurate 6-month pipeline

Use internal quoting and sales administration systems to ensure smooth handover to operational teams

Help maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety regulations and support a sustainable way of working

Work occasional weekends in line with business and client demands

You’ll work closely with sales, project management and operational teams to deliver a seamless service and ensure clients receive a joined-up, professional experience.

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in account management or business development, ideally within technology, events, hospitality management or a related customer-focused environment

Strong client-facing skills, with a genuine focus on service and long-term relationships

Commercial awareness and confidence making decisions that impact budgets and margins

Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once

Calm and positive under pressure, comfortable working to deadlines and handling changing priorities

Strong interpersonal skills, able to build credibility with senior stakeholders internally and externally

An interest in technology and how it supports clients’ operations and customer experiences

The ideal candidate will be proactive, resilient and client-focused, enjoying a varied role that blends relationship management, commercial ownership and project involvement.
