Our client, a well-established educational organisation, is seeking an IT Technician to provide 1st line support within a school environment. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting staff and students, with the opportunity for contract extension.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring day-to-day IT systems run smoothly, providing responsive support and resolving issues efficiently in a fast-paced educational setting.
What you’ll do
- Provide 1st line IT support to staff and students
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, walk-ups, and classroom issues
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network problems
- Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and user accounts
You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the wider IT team to minimise downtime and ensure a positive user experience across the school.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in a 1st line IT support or IT technician role
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365
- Experience supporting hardware, printers, and basic networking
- Confident communication skills with non-technical users
- Previous experience in a school or education environment (desirable)
The ideal candidate will be approachable, proactive, and comfortable working on-site in a busy school setting.
