Are you an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor with a strong background in CNC machining, production leadership, and continuous improvement within a precision engineering environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying high-quality engineered products into demanding industries. The Role:

  • Lead and supervise day-to-day production operations within a busy machining environment.
  • Drive team performance, accountability, and positive shopfloor behaviours.
  • Support and develop operators and setter/operators to strengthen overall team capability.
  • Work closely with Production Planning, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain operational efficiency and output.
  • Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and maintain quality standards.
  • Take ownership of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People performance within your area.
  • Monitor and report on production KPI performance.
  • Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to optimise machining efficiency.
  • Ensure ERP systems are accurately maintained and production data is updated correctly.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards across the shopfloor.
  • Support internal and external audits where required.

The Person:

  • Previous supervisory experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes including milling and turning.
  • Experience working within fast-paced production environments with responsibility for performance delivery.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems within manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
