A respected engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical / Project Engineer to support a range of construction and building services projects. This is a technical design and coordination role—not project management—suited for someone confident in both documentation and site-based engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support electrical design across multiple live projects
  • Produce/review SLDs, cable schedules, specs, layout drawings, I/O lists
  • Coordinate with client teams on controls and instrumentation
  • Support on-site electrical contractors and ensure quality delivery
  • Assist with RAMS and interface management across disciplines
  • Ensure compliance with CDM and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in building services electrical engineering
  • Site-based installation support and contractor coordination
  • Familiarity with plant rooms, packaged systems, PLCs, and controls
  • Able to produce and interpret detailed electrical design docs
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations and site H&S
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671) accreditation or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of UK electrical standards and compliance
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

Desirable:

  • Background in instrumentation and control systems
  • Multi-disciplinary M&E project exposure
  • Familiarity with P&IDs
