Senior Controls Engineer
Cheltenham | £65,000 – £75,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
Hybrid (3 days WFH) | Permanent
Are you a PLC Programming expert with a passion for industrial automation and control systems? We're looking for a hands-on leader to manage and develop a high-performing Electrical & Controls team, delivering cutting-edge EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls) projects across a range of industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the PLC & Controls team, overseeing work packages and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
- Allocate tasks effectively, set clear objectives, and support the team’s development
- Drive technical excellence, implementing efficient ways of working
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and technical regulations
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience in PLC programming and control system design (e.g. Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
- Background in electrical/controls engineering within industrial/process environments
- Good understanding of control systems theory and instrumentation
- Experience commissioning, fault-finding, and optimising control systems
- Confident leading and mentoring engineering teams
