PURPOSE OF ROLE: As the Head of People Experience, you will lead the strategic direction and delivery of a best-in-class people agenda, ensuring a positive, engaging and high-performing employee experience across the organisation. You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the People Strategy, leading key areas such as employee engagement, learning and development, talent, early careers, and organisational development. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will drive initiatives that enhance culture, capability, and overall organisational effectiveness. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and operational delivery, ensuring that people initiatives are aligned to business objectives and deliver measurable impact.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development and delivery of the People Experience strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, focusing on key lifecycle moments to enhance retention and performance.
- Lead and develop the Learning & Development, Talent, and Early Careers agenda, ensuring strong capability building across the business.
- Shape and deliver organisational development and culture initiatives that support business transformation and growth.
- Partner with senior leaders to provide expert advice on people-related matters, influencing decision-making at executive level.
- Oversee succession planning and talent management strategies to build strong internal pipelines.
- Use data and insights to evaluate people initiatives, providing meaningful reporting and recommendations to the business.
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of employee experience programmes, policies, and processes.
- Drive initiatives to strengthen employer brand and support attraction, engagement, and retention of top talent.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, governance, and best practice across all people activities.
- Lead, coach, and develop the People Experience team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Work closely with wider People Team specialists to ensure a seamless and integrated HR service.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Proven experience operating at a senior HR leadership level (Head of / Senior HRBP / People Lead).
- Strong experience across employee experience, engagement, organisational development, and talent strategy.
- Demonstrable experience influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders and executive teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align people strategy to business performance.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing HR/People teams.
- Strong understanding of UK Employment Law and HR best practice.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using people analytics to inform decisions.
- Experience driving change and transformation programmes in a fast-paced environment.
- CIPD Level 7.
