PURPOSE OF ROLE: We are seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Commercial Product & Software Director with strong expertise in SaaS, digital transformation, and technology-led growth. This is a commercially focused leadership role, partnering across Sales, Product, Customer Success, Finance, and Operations to drive growth, scalability, customer value, and operational performance. Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, you will shape IMSERV's SaaS and digital product strategy, lead the evolution of the IMSERV Astral roadmap, and ensure technology delivers innovation, recurring revenue growth, and an enhanced customer experience.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commercial & Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the executive leadership team to shape and execute company-wide commercial strategy across SaaS technology and product offerings.
- Translate business growth objectives into scalable technology and SaaS solutions through the continued development of the IMSERV Astral product roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue generation, margin performance, customer retention, and operational efficiency through technology.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on digital innovation, SaaS market trends, AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Support M&A activity, technology due diligence, and post-acquisition integration where applicable.
- Assess technology stacks, data maturity, and digital capabilities across products and services, producing clear recommendations and transformation roadmaps.
- SaaS & Digital Platform Leadership
- Lead the optimisation, integration, and governance of SaaS platforms across the business.
- Develop scalable cloud-first and API-enabled technology ecosystems.
- Drive adoption of modern SaaS operating models, including subscription management, customer analytics, usage metrics, and platform scalability.
- Ensure technology platforms support rapid growth, customer onboarding, and international expansion.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to align internal capabilities with customer-facing innovation.
- Revenue Enablement & Customer Experience
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to improve customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
- Champion data-driven decision-making using business intelligence, analytics, and customer insights.
- Improve CRM, ERP, customer platforms, and commercial reporting capabilities.
- Enable automation and AI-driven efficiencies across customer and operational processes.
- Ensure technology contributes directly to improved customer outcomes and commercial performance.
- Technology & Operational Leadership
- Support the IT Director with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, infrastructure, and IT operations.
- Build and lead high-performing technology and development teams with a strong commercial mindset.
- Manage technology budgets with a focus on ROI, scalability, and value creation.
- Establish robust governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead digital transformation programmes across multiple business functions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Proven experience in software development, AI, digital transformation, and senior technology leadership roles within a SaaS or technology-enabled business.
- Strong commercial leadership experience with direct involvement in growth strategy and business transformation.
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, recurring revenue operations, cloud technologies, integrations, and platform scalability.
- Experience partnering closely with revenue-generating functions including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, vendor management, and ROI analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and board-level communication skills.
- Experience leading geographically distributed or high-growth teams is advantageous.
